Females are better at science
Firstly, this would no effect on whether a man or a woman is more intelligent or "better". Secondly, I would very much like to see the studies that prove this.
Perhaps this is also the reason they are less proficient at reasoning. Instead of a methodical approach they have every idea fluttering around at once colliding into each other culminating in the phenomenon of female hysteria. This is no myth. Women allow emotion too great an influence on their thinking and that is seen through their often irrational behaviour, temper tantrums and such. Men, on the other hand, allow cold methodology and practicality too much prevalence. The wonder of gender interaction is that, in modern times at least, it is a balancing act. It is not a case of who is better, but of two working as one being best.
It has also been scientifically proven that the average man’s brain has four times the intellectual capability of that of a woman’s. This means that half of a man’s brain has twice the capacity for thought than the whole of a woman’s.
A person who use both sides of their brains isn’t more successful in science at all. The difference in the male brain allows him to focus more and become more specialized in a subject. That’s why geniuses always are men.
Do you have any women scientists that comare to Einstein, Newton, Galilei, Darwin ect ect ect?

Culture
Cultures throughout history have prescribed gender roles for both males and females. In some cases these are positive, and in other cases they are negative. For instance, boys are given trucks and electronics to play with teaching them those things which allow them to have a better chance at success in the "real-world". Girls on the other hand are given dolls and the culturally disguised monster the Easybake Oven.

Females are raised from birth to be dutiful mothers and wives, to stay at home raising their children, and to put everyone else above their own needs and personal desires. Males are raised the complete opposite and are taught to aim for success regaurdless of who you need to step on to gain such goals and aspirations.

Now, lets fast forward to adolence and first jobs. Because of the way males and females are raised, when they begin to enter the workforce they have prescribed expectations set by the culture. Girls are expected to do as they are told and the boys well, they are supposed to take charge and lead.

Now, what happens if say a female tries to take charge? She is labeled as a bitch, a freak, an oddball amoung females and in a society dominated by males all of these are true. And for these reasons the myth that females are unequal endures for centuries and throughout all cultures in the ancient and even near past. However, this is rapidly becoming no longer the case I am proud to say ladies.

In 30 years the University graduate rate has gone from ~10% females to 60% females world-wide. Our roles in politcs, the environment, and business continue to grow rivaling our male counterparts while female students continue to flourish in the generally regaurded "soft skills" of communication which are regaurded as more vital than "hard skills" like math to employers.

The invidivudals who mentioned famous males in the past are off the mark. They have merely listed individuals who had the education women in those times were denied; the only way to fairly assess the sexes is compare them under a field where both sexes are given near equal opportunities. And in a world, the 21st century, where women are still reguarded as the weaker sex I have one single question. Why do we occupy a larger portion of intellectuals and emerging leaders than males?

Its time to enter the 21st century boys. You may be stronger, physically faster, and able to do physical things that women could never do. However, when women have the control in any relationship, ignoreing males who use physical brute force to subdue their mates (which I think we can all agree proves the complete opposite of them being "superior" by any means). In thirty years females are closed a gap which in past days was believed to be so large it had to be the result of males being a superior sex.

Business is a closed environment to women still. Therefore, it is the result of a cultural bias not a gender bias. The only field therefore where true comparisan between which sex is superior is in the field of intelligance which branches out into all other fields includeing business smarts and decisions. To this I restate my eariler statistic from Statistics Canada, that women hold a 60% to male 40% gradation rate from univiersites across the nation and the world.

Now, whether this is true intellect I shall now briefly leave open to debate. However, I wish to add one final thing to consider: Regaurdless of intellectual capacity and whether or not males or females might be stronger the fact remains that females do graduate from universities more often. This means that either females are biologically smarter, cultural trends in the area of gender has shifted giving females a greater sense of determination and self-esteem, or is it simply our biological personalities as women which cause us to strive for success more than males in a new era and century?

In conclusion, males did dominate the sexual arena in the past. Although, the gap is rapidly closeing and women are showing more and more what they can accomplish with encouragement. In the area of intellect we have a higher graduation (and GPA) rate at the university level, and we also have a higher rate of high school graduation proving either our superior intellects or our superior dedicate take your pick. We control relationships; by this I mean if a women wishes to have a family she can at will whereas if a male does he must first find a female who consents to choosing him as her mate.

Biological or cultural? I remain undecided. Although the facts do remain that females hold the advantage in the only two areas in which fair comparisan can be made ignoreing the obvious biological differances "Girls are better because they can have babies…" and "Boys are better because they are phsically stronger and taller…" and debates like these. What the future will hold? Who knows, although I am certian that with encouragement and determination females in the near and distance future will begin to surpass the greatest minds in history, male or not, and earn a rightful postition as equals or even the superior sex because it is clearly not the case that we are the weaker sex after having disclosed all these debates.

In all cultures throughout the ages men have been seen as more dominant and so take most leadership roles. I would argue that every culture that has ever existed cannot be wrong.
Also, while there have been great male and female artists (Leonardo da Vinci, Frida Kahlo), males have always had more success. The great cultural figures of our society have always been male. Thus it would be impossible to declare that women are better.
Also, can you find any cultural female figures that top these men:

- Picasso
- da Vinci
- Van Gogh
- Shakespeare
- Mozart
- Beethoven

If men are so cool and collected, why are the majority of violent (passionate) crimes committed by men?
Do you have data to back your claim up? What about violent crimes committed against other men?
Irrational women drive men into a violent acts by the use of irrational arguments that drive men over the edge.
Statistics show that women use violence more than men, if you count cases which didn’t lead to any injury. However, it’s the thought that counts.

Females are smarter
Females are just smarter than boys in every way. They get better examination results at school. They have emotional as well as academic intellegence and are far superior to men at networking, interacting with people and negotiating.
That is a hasty generalization. I bet there are areas that you (the person man or woman who made the comment to my left) don’t know half as much about as I would… not because I’m a man, and you (might be) a woman but because I just have experienced that part of life that you haven’t. Based on that kind of reasoning a 12 year old girl would know more than a 60 year old man in all areas of life! I wonder if she knows about how to maintain a healthy prostate… I think women want to think they know everything because then they feel like they are in control in a society where sometimes they feel oppressed. But the system is changing and there is no need for these kind of generalising arguments any more. There are plenty of very smart men and very smart women, but the opposite is the case for both sides as well.
Statistics have showed that men have (in average) 5 points higher IQ. Scientific studies (http://www.livescience.com/health/060908_brainy_men.html) have shown that men are smarter than women.

Females are better students
Females have been proven to obtain better grades than males, especially in single sex schools where there are no men to distract them!
It is true that female students tend to get better results in secondary (high school) education. However, once students reach university level, male students tend to do better and in British universities statistics have shown that men gain a far higher number of first class degrees than women. The majority of senior academic posts are also held by men.
Also, in schools where girls get higher grades, it could be because they suck up to the teacher or because the teacher just likes girls better than boys. At universities (where men are better) such reasons are less trustworthy.

Socrates claimed that the influence of the male libido was like being ‘chained to a madman.’ You only have to go into any nightclub on a Friday to see that the male sex drive has a severe effect on their judgement… Even older, seemingly intelligent males can lose their head and act stupidly when there is the possibility of sex involved. Just look at Bill Clinton…
Women are just as susceptible to sexual desire as men, and just as likely to do silly things because of it. In that same club on a Friday night you’re sure to see women degrading themselves in revealing outfits and acting like idiots to get male attention. Women are even worse than men because they need sexual attention in order to validate themselves, not just for the physical pleasure of sex. The example of the schoolteacher who was convicted for sleeping with her underage pupil seems to prove that women are just as prone to letting their desires run away with them when they should know better.

Not at every level: in many universities men perform significantly better than women and they are more prominent in the upper levels of academia.
And statistics show us that the 2 absolutely best students in every class is a boy.

The point made on the left is quite amusing :). Hmmm lets go back to the basics shall we? Sperm + Egg = Fertilization. Sperm come from males. Eggs come from females. Without either, no fertilization can take place i.e. no baby can be made.
Therefore both females AND males are necessary for the continued existence of humanity. This is clearly a neutral argument. Anyone who claims "without girls, there would be no boys" or "without boys, there would be no girls" is merely making a ignorant statement.

Men are mentally weaker
What does ‘mental strength’ even mean? Is it to do with intelligence, or resilience? Being ‘mentally weak’ sounds like an old-fashioned judgement from the school of thought that saw mental illness as a character flaw and condemned soldiers with PTSD for cowardice. Men and women have their strengths and weaknesses, which cannot be generalised about in this way.
